Shinohara Track

Central Hobbies stocks HO scale Shinohara Track both under the Shinohara name (Code 70 and code 100) and under the Walters name (Code 83). Shinohara HO scale flex track is available by special order only. All Shinohara track products use Nickle-Silver rail.
Shinohara does batch production of their track products a few times a year so they go in and out of stock at odd times. We try to keep a good stock of the basics but are not always successful. We do not stock everything. Please contact us for our current stock status or to place an order.

Shinohara Code 100

Code 100 is the standard size of track included with train sets. It is not representative of any current rail used by modern railroads.
All the turnouts need a switch machine.

Walthers Shinohara Code 83

Code 83 is becoming the new standard It is representative current mainline rail used by modern railroads.
The new turnouts by Walthers/Shinohara have been modified to be more DCC friendly.
